A Weekend with Mr Darcy by Victoria Connelly

A Weekend with Mr Darcy by Victoria Connelly

The course of true love never does run smooth when Jane Austen makes the rules...

Lot’s of fun. Two love stories, so that’s four people, two dogs and quite a few chickens.

Dr Katherine Roberts and Robyn Love are both very likable characters.

The scholar and the Austen fan both travel from their very different homes and lives to Purley Hall for a Jane Austen Conference.

One to lecture and one to wallow in her favorite author neither lady was looking for love, they both already have enough problems in that area. But……

Of course fate has other ideas.

All the main characters and most of the secondary characters are entertaining and you want them all to have happy endings even if you are not sure it will work out that way.

Plenty of twists and turns that Miss Austen would have chuckled at I am sure.

I understand this book has already been snapped up to be made into a movie, if and when it comes out I will definately go and see it.

I grew up in Winchester in Hampshire and often visited the Cathedral and Jane Austen’s place of rest so it was nice to visit again in this story.
