Me and Mr Darcy by Alexandra Potter

Me and Mr Darcy by Alexandra Potter

Me and Mr Darcy

Emily Allbright is 29, she manages a book shop. Mr Fitzwilliam Darcy is her ideal man and she is finding it impossible to find anyone even remotely fitting the bill.

Her friends wanting to enliven her social life invite her to spend Christmas in a boozed up haze in Mexico.

To avoid this she immediately signs up for a coach tour of England for Jane Austen lovers. A bus full of mature ladies with lots of characters and all loving Mr Darcy and also one journalist Spike Hargraves on board to find out what it is about Darcy that is so admired, Spike is scruffy and far from Mr Darcy.

Now we have a time travel bit kick in and our heroine gets to meet the real Mr Darcy.

I shan’t spoil the story for you by saying what happens next, I would not put this book at the top of my list of Jane Austen spin offs but it’s certainly not at the bottom either.

True Jane-ittes don’t bother with this, but if you can’t help yourself and have to read anything with Darcy in the title don’t be too disappointed.
